Assistant Professor

Carbon Neutrality and Climate Change Thrust Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences Thrust The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)

Jiangong Liu is an ecosystem ecologist and global change ecologist studying how terrestrial ecosystems interact with climate change. His research integrates field measurements, big data analytics (ecological datasets and remote sensing), artificial intelligence, and ecosystem function modeling. He aims to gain a mechanistic understanding of the future of land carbon sinks and contribute to effective solutions to climate change and enhanced human well-being.
